Hi,
I have the tomtom safety camera subscription and until this month's update I was more than happy with. However, this months update has wiped my text to speech warnings out that I had ie "warning speed camera 30" etc etc to a crap bleep.
TomTom support are as good as ever *NOT* and have recommended I use voice Kate 8O, which I have.
I know i while back tomtom removed the cameras from POI, but like I say its only this months update that has stopped my text to speech working. Anyone know how to revert it back or have a been "tomtom'd"? |

At first I was going to do the usual "TomTom's speed cams can only have the fixed "beep" and fixed distance..." speech, but now I see you have a 910, so I see no reason why the text to speech option shouldn't work. I haven't heard on any of the forums of anything changing.
Do you still get the selection page:
Can you enter new text to speech?

This has been the case for quite a while, TomTom do not treat their speed camera database as true POI's so you cannot set warnings for them. The only other suggestion I can think of is the POI file names have changed, so you should be able to reconfigure your warnings if this is the case.
Help is at hand though, if you use the database from this site instead you will find the warnings can be setup correctly as per your requirements, whats more it is / was more accurate when compared to th TT offering - Mike |
