And do you know 1.8 million people??? 8O | Come on guys - Stargate was offering a complaint about Downing Street doing it.
Stargate Downing Street is required to answer all those people because they sent in a petition. The e-mail reply method is cheaper than sending them all a letter. I think Downing Street should NOT have replied, but what would all those who signed the petition have said if they didn't. Did you sign it? If so, did you get a reply? _________________ Dennis

Do you have to actualy pay for e-mails? I dont now if it would be the same for a government house but us mortals pay a monthly amount for our internet service and e-mail is included :D |

No-one really pays per e-mail in the same way you do with the Mail and stamps. Interestingly the article states that

I suspect the "cost" isn't a real cost as such but a calculation of how much time and resources it would be compared to sending the same numbers of postal letters. |
