Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
Finger pointing, all guns blazing, in the first post and more finger pointing in the second, If he is unhappy with the site database etc he is definatly a minority .
And as pointed out there must be other Poi`s iunstalled previously or after, to blame the site, database and support is crazy and im sure has angered not only the sites admin and staff but the rest of the users too!!

As you clearly doesn't feel an apology is in order I think we ought to draw a line under this thread.

BTW I'd certainly not have posted here in the 1st place if I'd found a good support page (and it does'nt have a link to raising issues, and suggests people 'just use the formum'-which I did..).
The ENTIRE forum is a support resource, if you had posted with your issue and asked for help you would have had plenty of it, instead you posted blaming us for a problem not of our making.

While searching FAQs and forums for past issues is fine, just suggesting (paying users) only use a forum for support probably is'nt ideal...Most support systems these days include searching FAQs, forums, etc before anyone raises an issue anyway..and its easy to do HTML wise almost off-the shelf..
This is the electronic age and you as a computer professional should be well aware that a £2 subscription isn't going to fund a call centre! Microsoft charge you £50 for a support call and that's after you've spent £200 on one of their OS's.
We already have FAQ's for support with frequent issues and it would have taken only a minute or so using our search facility or Google to realise Garmin have an issue with POIs in this situation. I note you still do not seem to appreciate that the issue is not ours to resolve!
I'm sorry you had problems, even sorrier Garmin have not apologised and whilst I have given up waiting for a 'sorry' I would like details of the Garmin Support call where they alleged we were to blame, email me if you would and I will take this up with their UK Management. _________________ Darren Griffin
