I would do it quietly so that no one hears. Make sure you let him have the receipt for the orginal purchase so that he can prove "he" bought it.
Also, you will have to go and get a new email address or else "home" may get confused between the old an d the new tomtom
As long as we get those 2 things right I think we won't arouse the suspicion of the TT Police.....but you never know who might be reading this............................... _________________ RQ

I don't see what the issue is? Give your son the Go and the Activation Key card and be done with it? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I think RQ may have been tongue-in-cheek referring to the clause in the EULA where it says you cannot transfer (or even lend!) the software to anyone else.
But so long as you transfer EVERYTHING to him and remove any backups etc from YOUR PC (unless of course you SHARE the same PC!) then I don't think you'll get your door kicked in at midnight by the ! |

Yes- it was a little bit tongue in cheek.
I think the only problem to be encountered is with home and Dad will possibly have to get another email address to resolve any potential download issues.
But apart from that ....................... then don't let the TT cops hear. I've heard that they employ a police officer called called Jack Regan and the monster says things like
"Your nicked"
Or "We're the Sweeny son and unless you want a good kicking....." _________________ RQ

Just fax copies of the receipt and product card to TT customer services, also let them know the new email address for the new owner then wait and wait...............................about six weeks then try to log on with the new details.
