Recently bought the Medion MDSP150 Sat Nav bundle off eBay and am having trouble getting the Sat Nav part to work.

Apparently the actual GPS hardware has never been used (the asthetics would support this claim).

Anyway, I install the hardware in my car, run the cable from the phone to the "Data Charge" port (which looks identical to a USB port) (this cable has been tested by myself by charing the phone up with it), and a cable from the GPS unit to the cigarette lighter (which I would assume works as a green light comes on).

I boot up the Medion Navigator software, and it can't seem to detect the presence of the GPS receiver.

I've tried changing the preference from "standard GPS" to "cable" but nothing.

The only thing that happens is the green light changes from permanent to flashing after a few minutes on the GPS unit.

Is there anyway I can check on the phone to see if it's connected to the GPS unit?

Or can anyone else offer any much needed help?

Thanks.

Hi,do you have a gps receiver and the car holster? if so
plug into cig lighter from holster, pop the gps receiver into the top of the holster, theres a little green light that should come on, on the receiver if so pop the phone in the holster and connect the small usb cable to the underneath of the holster and the charger part into the phone if all is well upto now you will have a red light on the phone and a green light on the receiver, plug the other cable into the head phone hole at the top of the phone and turn the volume up on the holster, goto start on your phone hit 9 then 2, wait a while and thesat nav will boot up.
Warning if you have no power from the car to the holster or the red and green light isnt on it wont work.
any problems give me a ring and i'll talk you through it.
hope this helps....
