My mate has a tomtom 510 and is going back to NI to work as a taxi driver. He reckons that the UK street mapping on his tomtom does not include NI, except for the major roads. Is this right, and if so, where can he download it. TIA TommyRed (Athens bound) |

If he has the V6 Maps that are called Map of Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland then there is good street level mapping of NI.
The Map Page is HERE. _________________ Richard

He could always try "Browse map" and check it out for himself too! |

I'm going to Belfast next week and have the same problem. Where my relatives are, it's not on, and it's not too far out of Belfast either. I've emailed TT to see what they suggest.
I presume Belfast should be on the GB and major roads of Europe? |

Unfortunately, Belfast isn't in Great Britain. Its in the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" .
GB, technically is England, Scotland and Wales. So Tom Tom are being quite accurate when they quote the map as street level GB, even though Northern Ireland mapping isn't present. |

LT, what's the postcode/ area that's not listed? I'm just outside Belfast and haven't had any issues with my One V2 regional. |

It's BT11 Southwest Belfast. It has all the mapping on my Nokia N95 mobile phone though! |

My map is v650/1046
TT replied saying that the new GB and western europe has Belfast fully covered but the earlier version had doesn't. Someone pointed out that Belfast isn't technically in GB so maybe I don't have much of a case for getting the new map gratis? |
