Hi
My TTG 700 has developed the annoying habit of switching itself off after an hour or so of use. Today, after 150 miles driving it switched off - I didn't notice if the shutdown screen was displayed as I was watching the road. I switched it on again and it kept going for about 10 miles and then switched off again. Switched on and it stayed on the last few miles to home. The current journey details are remembered and it only takes a few seconds for it to get the current GPS location and continue the journey instructions.
The LED is illuminated at all times showing that the unit is getting power.
Has anyone any ideas/suggestions as to what may be causing this behaviour and how I can overcome the problem. I have my mobile phone switched off when driving so the bluetooth connection is not active.

Seriously though have you tried resetting the device by using a pin/ paperclip to press the reset switch which can be found Here - Mike |

Whoops - my timings were a bit off. The trip was about 75 miles in each direction taking about an hour and a half each way. The unit was left switched on when we arrived with the key in the ignition (we'd just gone to collect an Ebay purchase).
I did have to reset it after the previous trip last week - it just had the charcoal grey screen and took a bit of persuading to actually do the reset.
I'll try resetting again and see if it continues to play up.
Thanks

Hold the reset down for 30 seconds, then try it again - Mike |
