Hi all,

I've got a Evermore BT920 GPS receiver which works just great.
It uses three AAA batteries and came with a incar charger.

Now the manual says that the light should come on when it's plugged in, but mine doesn't.
Now it works when plugged in, but the light isn't coming on.
Not too sure if it's charging of not now..

Anyone got one of these and knows any tricks?

Cheers..

Paul

Did you say batteries? Or rechargeable batteries?

Bit of an update.

Still cannot tell if it's charging, but it does work with the car charger, without the batteries in.
Was having some issues with getting it to work yesterday morning and it would not BT sync while having the USB charger in it.
I took it out, but the batteries were drained, so I took the batteries out and plugged it in and it worked fine.

Is there a special brand of rechargeables I need to use.

many Thanks,

Paul Ryder

Does it actually HAVE a charging circuit?

My i3 accepts batteries and runs of a ciggy lighter lead but doesn't recharge any batteries put in it.

UPDATE - from http://www.akgtechnologies.com/web/products/product4.html

Quote:
BT-920 version powers on 3 x 'AAA' size batteries with approximately up to 6 hours continous use time. Auto OFF function after 40 mintues of inactivity

and

Box Contents: GPS Bluetooth Receiver Main Unit, 3 x AAA Alkaline Batteries (BT920)

and

BT-900 version powers on a LI-Ion rechargeable battery lasting up to 10 hours of continuous use.

I suspect the 920 doesn't have a charger so the supplied lead only acts as a power lead.
