Fine. You two answer the same questions over and over then. I'll carry on ignoring them. |

...and now if, like me, you _have_ just searched for 'pmobile' this thread is top of the list of 53 found and it still doesn't answer the question!
Following the link in a previous reply, however, did give the answer. (pmobiles are mobile cameras reported but not confirmed, so you have the choice to install them 'just in case' or you can choose to wait for them to be confirmed at which point they are added to the mobile list) |

I thought the original answer from Andy_P2002 was very polite, especially considering how often the question gets asked. It was clearly intended to help the OP and others new to the forum to find answers to any questions they may have in the future without having to wait for someone to reply to a post.

Thank you Anita, strumble and all.
I thought I was being polite and helpful too (this time!)
Some people obviously don't like fish though
I find web forums invaluable for answering questions in so many aspects of life, from health to cars, DIY to computers (especially). Learning to use the search facility on the different boards was essential to get the info I want quickly.
Someone says: "I have searched, and the first entry didn't answer the question" - They are in date order, so of course this one will be at the top!
As I said, in the list of 23 entries (yes, it's still 23) there are at least two or three that are actually called "pmobile???" or "what are these filenames?". Call me an arrogant git if you like, but it's not that hard to scroll down and find them, is it? |

Andy,
I for one was not questioning your politeness, my only point was that the OP was obviously struggling with a search and various answers want to suggest sending him around the houses when perhaps a simple answer like white background=verified mobile,Black=unverified mobile would have sufficed and saving you thirteen lines of typing, and lots of negative responses, perhaps you were being too helpfull. |

But that was precisely what Andy was trying to help him with. It's all very well giving him the answer to this question, but if he doesn't learn how to use the search facility he won't be able to make full use of the forums.
And as Andy said, many of us who could help him are so fed up with answering the same questions over and over again that he's likely to have to wait some time for someone to come along who's prepared to answer. _________________ Anita
