The Garmin device will also store the most recent destinations making them available for subsequent re-use, it takes one more tap of the screen than the TomTom:
Where to?/ My Locations/ Recent Selections

On the TomTom units:
Navigate To/ Recent destination

It seems that there isnt much between the two units......i think that i really do want tts so it looks like the Garmin wins so far....just a few questions about the Garmin....

1/does the 660 have 'thousands' of poi's built in (as the TT xl boasts)...?
(the internet here is very, very slow so downloading updates is a no no!)

2/does it have 'pedestrian' setting?

3/is the current mapping version the latest or is a 'update' due?

4/any idea what is considered a 'good' price for me to pay?
