|
|
Since replacing the dead battery with a new 1800mah one (which is slightly thicker then the original), a small "lake" of approx 5 x 10 mm has appeared on the screen. It can be seen when the screen is off as a dark subsurface patch in bottom right just above the red block of the Windows logo. Over the last week since replacing the battery, the patch is now more evident with the backlight on. It appears as a darker bloom on screen. It doesn't affect anything, the touch screen still works, it's just cosmetic...............or is it???
What I need to know is will this progressively get worse and damage the screen in a permanent way?
Can anyone recommend another battery source which fits like the original. I bought mine from here. |

Sounds like the larger dimension of the battery is placing increased pressure on the LCD. This may well get worse if you leave that battery in place. I'd suggest you remove it immediately. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren for your reply................I was afraid someone would suggest my worst scenario!
Trouble is, I would then be without my PDA until a new battery is sourced. Any suggestions for a replacement which has been verified as fitting the Mio 168 without causing these pressure points............anyone? |
