I have a TT one europe. The other day the memory card became corrupted.
Any ideas why this happened? My theory is that somehow when I unplugged from the car power somehow this caused an upset (voltage spike?)
What is the best way of powering on/off the unit to avoid this in future?
Has this happened to anyone else.
Luckily I have a backup, so I don't think it's a major deal to restore the card if neccessary. It's just this happened at the worst possible time (heading back to the airport when on holiday :-( )

Voltage spike would normally blow an IC internally rather than the SD card.
It WILL corrupt if the SD is removed while it's working a route etc |

Thanks. I don't think it was working out a route at the time. Also... wouldn't the internal battery keep things going.
Anyway.. I'll be more careful about power off and then remove from car power in future.

even if you're not following a route, if it's on & showing your road position etc & the SD is removed even that will corrupt things. |

it's a known problem with ONEs, unless you took the card out without switching the unit off. |
