Hello folks.....
I don't think anyone has asked this question yet.... I have looked back through recent posts. I have a TT910 on a customised rigid mount. I feed the sound through a 3.5jack plug to phono plugs aux input on my car stereo. I use a ground loop hum isolator while this eliminates interference it means I have to have the volume up on the TT to the extent that the sound is clipped and distorted..... are all ground loop hum devices the same or should I suppress the 'noise' created by the power adapter instead?. If could solve this I would be close to getting it useful. I have tried the FM mount but the FM scale is so crowded arroung London its not very effective..... and I am still trying to get the TMC unit to work reliably. but thats another story
thanks in advance for any help :D
regards

I would be interested in knowing if you have found a solution. I am using an FM modulator and there is a bit of backround noise as well. There is a choke on the power cable although I suspect the problem may be elsewhere. Any ideas ?

If you have your car charge plugged in, it causes most of the background noise. It's not a cure, but it does help. |

Has anyone tried and alternative charger? I have to measure the output but I assume its dropped to 5v dc I am sure we can find a better power supply I have read that the one used by TT are particularly noisy. Pedro2NR do you use a ground hum isolator? or do you simply not plug in your charger? That would be OK for short jouneys.... just curious.
thanks for replying

I don't plug in my car charger. My battery life lasts about 2 hours. |

Perdro2NR,
I will take a couple of picture and post them.... its nothing really special and Paul A of the yourNAV.com go to the forum and finf tomtom mounts its a sticky..... I am sure you must of seen it. The conversion is simple and x10 mounts are very cheap on ebay..... it provides a much more stable holder....
