Hi, I have two Ipaq 6340 and one 6315 and I got the SD502. It works fine with the GPS Info software in all ipaq´s but I have tride several software with the unit and even though all find the NMEA GPS unit then I cannot get a fix or anything to work properly. I live in Iceland I am also lost in finding a PPC software that has any maps of iceland or even that can open up usable maps from other software, so In general I have this superb working gps but cannot use it. I tried tomtom6, GPS tuner 5 , Destinator and a couple of other less known software but I cannot get a "fix". I can see usually about 12 sats here where I live but still canot get a fix on my position. I acknowledge that my experience of using GPS software is very little but as a Computer spcialist with MCSE, A+ and several specific MCP, Zyxel Certified and Cisco Certifications since 1997 I am sure I can handle the installing of a couple of software packs. What I lack is the knowledge and experience of this GPS system sats and software. Can anyone help since I live at lat:N66 09.31 W18 54.659

Welcome to the forum, as your device can "see" a number of sats it should eventually attain a position fix, how long have you been leaving it to locate its position? and while waiting for the fix please remain stationary with a clear view of the sky. A first fix for a new unit could take as long as 20 minutes, subsequent fix times will be greatly reduced.
For maps I am not too sure of anything from the main sat nav players in way of maps, but one thing you could consider is making a map of your own (or better still contributing to the already up and running WikiProject Iceland, which can be found Here )
Other instructional pages on map creation can be found Here and links to the actual map are on the same page. At the time of writing this the main map appears to be down, so I couldn't check the area you live in for map content, but at least one other person from your country has started the ball rolling. Once you start mapping it can become addictive, but also rewarding - give it a look see -
Some coverage can be made out on the West side of the country:
Another option is to scan paper maps and install a viewer to the pda that allows for map calibration OziExplorer is good for this very purpose - Mike
