Just installed the voice alerts on my tomtom one v2 and all appears working well except that in addition to the 6 files 20 to 70 mph pmobile not being on vioce alert which I understand is normal, there are also "pmobile tba" and "mobile var"also not on voice alert. Is this correct? |

pmobile tba is a pmobile file so there will not be spoken voice warnings for these cameras at the moment.
The mobile var camera category contains nothing so I would delete it from your device - it is a file the site creates, but no such camera exists, there is no point consuming one of you 100 available custom POI categories with a file that contains no data - Mike |

Forgot to say that I have the speed zoned version installed on myTT1V2 and how much better the voice alerts are as "Liz" now tells me the camera type and speed limit and you do not have to look at the sat nav at all for the info :D . |

they seem to be without a chime... |
Now resolved, apols for the confusion but all the with/without, speedzoned tec gets a bit confusing after a while!
Also resolved an error with the chime pmobile consolidated link as well oh and added install guide for Route66 (courtesy of MikeA) _________________ Darren Griffin |

You can say that again! Was going gaga at times, trying to work out a "unified" naming system!
Just out of interest, were they my errors or just the links going wrong? |

Don't forget though if you are using TomTom version 5,x (where x can be anything from 0 upwards) on a PNA or PDA the ogg file method will also work (but only with the PocketGPSWorld database) - only the TomTom Mobile 5 and Palm versions appear not to work with this audio warning method - Mike |
With TTN5 do you need to reinstall the original Data CHK file?
Which was replaced when I installed Rays voice file |
Problem with VICKI Speedzoned just been out in the car and no voice but a series of chimes, jangles etc Whereas the pmobile work perfectly is it me or you
Many thanks anyway _________________ TTXL IQ Routes |

If you're getting chimes, jangles etc then it must be you, I'm afraid
Double check the "Warn when near" settings for the camera types that aren't working. Unless you have a 910, it should skip the step where it asked for a sound - this shows the new sound file has been recognised.
But you DO need to go through this step for every camera type.
As for the general question about reverting to the original data.chk - you don't NEED to do that, it just means you have the original sounds back for use with any other POIs if you wish. |

Thank you
Have rechecked "warn when near " settings is there anyway of checking without actually being near the poi concerned ? all files look OK in the map folder also as stated before p/mobile sounds OK
Am using PDA with TTN5
Thanks _________________ TTXL IQ Routes |

Ive tried downloading the voice prompts on my RZ1710 on TTNav but everytime I am asked to assign a tone. In the instructions it covers this and Ive checked Ive copied them to the right place and that the the names match. Everything seems as it should. Any ideas or is it just that the version on TT Iam using is too old and doesnt support these files. |
