I was thinking of getting an external speaker to add to my T1 unit . Can a car phone speaker fit the socket? Anyone know a retailer on the high street that sells anything compatible
Many thanks in advance :D _________________ www.dustysworld.net |

I don't have a T1, but yes, it can be done. there's a thread posted a while ago about using powered speakers on a 510 (I think). As far as I know the only Navman units that do not have speaker output are the earlier iCN600's and maybe the cheaper 300's.
Have a seach for "power speakers" on teh internet. They are widely used by the CB and ham radio crowd among others. External speakers for walkmans are also an option, although you only need one and they come in pairs.
All you need is the right sized plug into the earphone socket. If it fits it should work. |
