Hi, Nice breakdown on this problem which is driving me crazy
I have an ipaq 6515 with Nav 5. The new maps (which are updated with new roads etc so I want them and not just some old ones) need Nav 6.6. When you purchase a new map TT website states you will receive Nav 6.6 included in with the map download. Basically the map just downloads but the Nav 6.6 does not appear for auto update.
Even on the Tom Tom Nav 5 software, updates section, it advises you to go to www.tomtom to receive a free Nav 6 upgrade. I checked the site and nothing can be found on just updating from 5 to 6.
I've sent in a support email to TT and hope they sort it out.

I have exactly the same problem! I have an XDA IIs running Nav 5 version 5.210 and have purchased the new UK and ireland map ver 660 through TomTom Home. I've checked my pna file and it says version 4. Support told me i had to install manually which i have been doing by extracting the files on my PC and copying them across to my SD card but TT can't find them. Everything the original poster said is exactly what's happening to me.
I'm using activesync to explore my SD card and copying the files across, is this correct? am i supposed to be installing a different way? The original poster said it's now working when he changed PC with a different version of activesync, how are you supposed to install via activesync. |

I copied the cab files to my storage card and tried to run them from there but it said they are not a valid windows CE setup file. Maybe this is the wrong version but support have TWICE told me it is? |

Thanks, it says build=1219
Presumably herein lies the problem.
Is that for a Nav 6 map then? |

But what happened to the free upgrade to v6? I'm in the same boat as you guys, I bought Western Europe, it said all maps came with a free upgrade, which I don't have... and my map build is 1219 which wont work with TT5??? What are TomTom doing??? _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6
