hello all....
anyone know which best editor sound for warn when near POI
see i am deaf, my girl no deaf i driver that car my girl keep tell me way when tomtom say turn right.....
anyway...
i want to make nice sound for warning when near poi that i idea to make best sound into that.
i got mircosoft text to speak, that co0ol and fun so i wonder which best software for put .ogg into that sound (i mean change sound as from polite1 into my own voice (from text to speak) into it.
there i got
POI externded warning (crap that look like dont working)
AudioCommander (for edit from text to speak .wav converts into .ogg)
can any you explain me which best and easy editor, and step to step what best put into sound it

Comments like that won't help... The guy that provided POIE is a regular on this forum and a lot of us are very grateful to him for it, even if it has become a little redundant with the way we do things now!! :o _________________ Steve

You can find the application and instructions Here BUT I doubt it will work with the later version 6 software on the new/ upgraded nav devices.
You can create your own audio files by recording on the PC Start/ All Programs/ Accessories/ Entertainment/ Sound Recorder this will produce audio files in the .wav format. Then download/ install to the PC Audacity which you can use to open the wav file then Save as ogg file format. So long as the ogg file name is identical to the .ov2 and .bmp files that make up each POI it will work - Mike |

As you have to downloade Audacity anyway, I would use that to make your recordings too. Windows Sound Recorder is VERY "clanky" in comparison. |
