Thanks Tim, very useful. Without wishing to be a pain, is it easy enough to copy over and just drop into the GB map ? (Showing my ignorance on these matters.) Mike.

Yes, but there's no .bmp file with it so unless you make one yourself or rename the original to match the new file's name, then you will just get the 'red box' icon. _________________ Tim

I have a matching .bmp graphic showing the 'C' logo with a '+' to indicate the extended zone, but nowhere to upload it - any ideas Tim? _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek!

Tim,
I've emailed you the graphics. _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek!
What I don't understand is why, instead of complaining here where nobody can do anything about it, posters aren't:
a) Reflecting the responses from TT to this issue - I presume nobody has bothered.
Have, and simply get a response which basically says tough it's the way it is - that's when you actually get a human response.
I did the same thing when TT5 GO users got the 5.42 update which up'd their POI limit from the silly 23 of 5.21 to ask when this would be out for PDA/Mobile. 3 times I contacted them before I got an automated response telling me todownload the 5.21 update and to keep checking for updates. Loads of people complained, yet still no update unless you're a GO user.
TeleAtlas do monthly updates, it's simply that TT don't buy these to save eating into the profit of the product. I know TA do monthly updates as I asked them before after TT blamed the maps on v5 being wrong on TA! TT then simply compress the data (I'm assuming this must be automated, or TA provide in the correct format for TT from the off).
TT even buy maps that are several updates older to save a bit too. I remember this being mentioned on PGSW when v5 came out, and that the maps were at least 8 months old at release.
So yes, these are the most uptodate maps offered by TT, but they are not because TT buys older updates.
Back on track of the topic the CC zone change will be included in the March TA map updates. Be interesting to see how long it is before TT relase that mapset.....
The POI set is a work around, but will not help avoiding the zone at planning stage. And with all the other POI's I have (23 for all the cams, cust POI, parking locations, parking meters in London) unless TT sort the POI limit, I'll loose a vital POI and it's alerts from somewhere....
Well after reading all the posts I feel that I have to stick my oar in as well.
While not perfect TT are providing a piece of software for a price, along with Maps - for a price! It is NOT a government provided service to the tax paying people. TT decide whether to buy the TeleAtlas maps every month or not based on whether they see any business sense in doing so. (Cost versus profit) As TomTom has become very successful I would have to say that their current business model is succeeding. Maybe even poor aftersales support is a concious business decision after looking at the costs and profit returned.
As we have the priveledge of purchasing items in a free market then, if the product (including after sales support) is not satifactory then either complain to TT (which may or may not work), or vote with your feet and use other products. (As it is not a government provided service then we cannot complain to our local MP!!) If TT have a serious product problem then they will have to address it, otherwise they will go out of business as others superseed them in the market.
TT have no absolute obligation to provide you with a NEW map showing the extended CC zone. It was not their decision to extend the CC zone and the map they sold at the time was uptodate. I would think you would have grounds if they specifically claimed to cover the extended CC zone or upgrade to new map when it came into service, but I don't think this is the case.
Anyway I live in Denmark now and have sold my car as it is prohibitively expensive to buy a car and keep it in Copenhagen - but that is for another discussion group!! Enjoying the Bicycle Route feature on TTN6 though
And a possible complication is that there are 2 roads that are "free" to drive through the extended CCZ - the Edgeware Rd is the current western boundary, and another one (maybe the A40 - it's on the TFL map), so you can be "in the zone" but not pay for it unless you turn off the free roads! so I guess there are actually 3 zones in total...
