|
|
Hi , ive just downloaded the latest maps for uk + ireland from tom toms website. Everything works great, except for the speed indicator, it tells me what speed im doing on my tom tom, however it doesnt tell me what the maxiumum speed limit for the road im driving on is, before i updated the map it worked fine. Going red if i went over the speed limit etc.
Anyone got any ideas as why its stopped working? |

It only works on the roads that have the info stored (in the map). Most minor roads don't have it yet, and not all major ones do.
Are you sure you don't have it now in places that you did before? |

I Think that not all roads are covered by the tomtom speed restrictions.
Maybe you just haven't gone on a road that has the speed restrictions on your tomtom, therfore they will not show up on screeen.
When you pass a road includuded it should have 30/40 or 50/40 in red. :D |

right guys, i went out for a quick drive to test it out, im using the 1256 build of the western euroupe, and also the standard maps that come with it, turns out the standard maps show the speed limitations fine, but the 1256 build even though its the most recent version, and has far far better coverage of my area doesnt seem to have these speed limitations:( o well. |

You said downloaded from Tom Tom's website?? Last I heard, this is a pirate not available from Tom Tom (officially it does not exist according to them when I phoned them last week). _________________ Dennis

This is the best I could find - no sign of a 'standing in the corner' emoticon, nor a 'chasing pirates' one (watch out, next thing we know I'll have started an emoticon making competition). _________________ Dennis

I don't think you can really blame Dennis, if that's what TomTom themselves told him! |

Don't be so hard on yourself Dennis, you could always get her a job at TomTom. |
