|
|
Hiya
A friend of mine has got a GO 510. It has the latest cameras on there but when he passes the camera, there is no warning.
The camera is showing on the screen so is defo there.
The menu is different to my PDA version of Tom Tom, so am unable to locate how you change the distance and sound for the cameras or any POI.
Would somebody be kind enough to give me a step by step guide to doing this, so i can describe it to him
Thx

Paul, Have a read through THIS it was written around a different device (910) but if you ignore the part about the Text To Speech the rest is applicable.
If you want spoken alerts for the cameras then please read THIS the part about the ogg warning sounds is what you are looking for. Finally both these links will only work with the Pocket GPS World Speed Camera Database, the TomTom offering does not lend itself to customisation any more - Mike |

Thx very much for that
Another question
I have actually installed the Database onto his unit and they show up no problem. The cameras that were on there originally are still there though. Should i get rid of them ???
There are files with a .VER extension, should idelete those and could it be those that is stopping the customization ???/
Thx

Have a look through the topics listed HERE #13 should give you a clue, you don't have to remove them, but if you leave them on the device it might issue a double warning for some cameras (certainly not all) - Mike |

Thx Mike
But do you know what .VER files are and can I remove them ?
I may just do a back up of the SD card, delete the files and see if it works okay
Thx
