I have HP iPAQ hx 4700, fabulous machine.
Old TT5 was OK but postcodes a real frustration and maps old.
Got TT6, and it is much better.
BUT, i foolishly added all the POIs available, thinign I wouldbe able to enable and disable them at will.
now i find htat is limited.
It also means i cannot get teh pocket GPS world traffic camera database to work.
THE BIG PROBLEM is that if i go into TT Home, firstly it takes ages to check everything.
Secondly and most important - I ask it to delete any POI category, it asls for a confirmation, and tehn sits there for hours on end doing nothing.
If I cancel, the program freezes.
What can I do? |

use a card reader or active sync to access the map folder and delete only the ov2 a .bmp files that you want to get rid of _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
Oh the joys of being a courier.

TT5 only used hte first part of hte postcode plus hte first number of the second part. That was far too wide - several miles in the country particularly when I was looking for National Trust preoperties.
TT6 uses full ostcodes to search - though stupidly htey do not advettise that fact. |

Well, so are you saying that TTN6 does in fact run on the 4700? The 4700 is not on the list of devices its approved for.
I'll be getting the 6 upgrade soon, and would like to know, because TomTom's not responding to my question. |

Quantum:
I can confirm that the Hx 4700 is compatible when running WM5 (with the patch from HP).
No problems at all but then I don't use TThome for POI updating so Can't comment on that bit (just cut and paste the files in windows explorer it's much faster with WM5 as it is a USB 2 interface).
regards
