I am likely to get a Nokia E61 soon and before I start flapping around how do you install TT from your DVD to such a device ? _________________ TomTom 720

Never tried it but...
As the device you have is supported on the phone mentioned I suspect it is as simple as reading the documentation that is on the TomTom web site.
It looks remarkably the same as installing it to a PDA. See
http://www.tomtom.com/support/solution.php?GID=2&PID=185&SID=0&CID=224-225&Language=1&FID=1060
for the on-line documentation.
I don't know about V6 but you used to be able to do two installs of TT5 after a certain period of time - to allow you to migrate from one device to another. If you are using two devices concurrently you should have two licenses (i.e. kits). |

Thanks Phil tough it still confuses me. As the E61 is sold with TT6 preloaded yet TT talk about Mobile 5. I assumed I could load the TT6 sd card into an E61 and hit "istall"...sort of. Or load my TT6 Dvd onto a SD card via a reader and do the same. Maybe it is as easy as that. Might try it with my TT5 as an experiment _________________ TomTom 720

With TomTom 5 Mobile and a Nokia N70 you just stick the card into the phone and run the application. No software installation procedure required although activation is required when you first run the application. I would expect TT6 to work in the same way. If you have it on DVD then install on to an SD card and insert into phone. _________________ Kam |

Actually, I did not just insert my original card. I first copied the contents onto a larger one and inserted that one. _________________ Kam |

Got my shiney new Nokia E61. Copied my TT5 DV onto my SD card plugged it into my E61 and...nothing. The Start.exe file is not recognised by the E61. TT say it should work but it doesn't I know the E61 runs Symbian but I thought the software from TT was all the same regardless of that. The E61 is certainly listed as a compatable device for TT5 and TT6 yet it appears that any file that is .exe or .cab is blamked out on the E61 because it doesn't recognise it. Anyone any clues ? _________________ TomTom 720
