I have a 510 with the original SD card, I tried loading some of the extra, ie voices & POI, but came up not enough memory, so I had a spare 2gb SD card and did a copy and paste from the original to the new card.
All works fine until I get to bit where you select the map and it asks me to activate it. I have the product code and device code but surely I should not need to do this? The original card had already been activated from when I bought the unit new.
I did try to acivate it as requested but did not know how to put spaces in the activation code on the 510.
Any help much welcome.
Thanks |

Hi...
Unlikely as it may seem, this is not a map or memory card problem - this is a 510 flash memory problem!
There is a 'fix' on the Tom Tom site that clears down the 510's flash memory and solves the problem. If you cannot find it, email me and I will send it to you - file is around 1.4mb and called "ttgo510-710.clear_flash.exe"
I had the exact same problem and this little booty sorted it.
Happy New Year!

....and if you ever DO need to input an Activation Code you don't need the spaces. |

Connect your 510 to computer, Double click the downloaded .exe file and follow the on screen instructions. |
