|

Hi
I am really tempted by a Nuvi 660; especially as Halfords have them on offer for £349.
I've 'Googled' loads but can't find anything cheaper than the Halfords price but just wonder if any anyone knows of a better deal.
Thanks
Piers :D |

Hi Piers,
I've done the same as you and have scoured everywhere for the best price for the Nuvi 660, the cheapest I found was £349.95 (4p Cheaper than Halfords) but beleive you'd have to add p&p on top of that price!!!
Today I bought the Nuvi from Halfords & the great piece of mind is that if anything does go wrong with it, you can walk straight back into Halfords & speak to a person, where if you buy it off the web, you'd have to pay p&p to ship it back for repair/replacement, that's if they decided to reply to your emails (not saying that Web Shops are like that)!!
So if I was you, I'd get it from Halfords!!
Cheers
MarkieT
Oh & the guy at Halfords also said, if I find it cheaper in another store within 7 days then they'll refund the difference!!! Can't go wrong I say!!
Have a Happy New Year everyone!!! _________________ Don't ever argue with a Stupid Person, they'll only bring you down to their level & then beat you with Experience!!!!

Hi MarkieT,
I was in Halfords and was also sorely tempted to upgrade from my i3 at £349.99.
What version mapping did it come with?

I don't need mine really until April but I have the money there now. I'm sure they won't go down in price that quickly.
As you say the Halford price is superb, I have read some horror stories about the 660 when POI's are added and the units freezing. The idea of being able to walk back in and change it is very tempting.
If there was a deal at £300 somewhere it would be worth it but.......
Halford here I come.
Cheers

Hi,
It came with City Navigator Europe NT v9.
Used it earlier driving from my Parents (only about 5 mins away, but thought might as well try it) House to my Home, (Had saved my Address as my Home Location) & it was great for it to say you have arrived home on the Left Hand Side!!
Very cool!!
Cheers

Such a shame we can't have the FM transmitter function in this country else I'd be upgrading from my i3 tomorrow...... _________________ -----------------------------------

Thanks.
Don't understand the Perkz thing, do you have to be employed by one of the companies that uses the system.
Also, the phone number on your post comes back to Halfords when Googled.

Hi Piers
The number (08700 660511) is for Halfords...you order the vouchers direct from Halfords, just quote the Perkz promo code PERKZHal06 to get the 10% discount.
I don't know if you have to work for one of the companies registered with Perkz but it's got to be worth a try....
