Is either way faster or is it just down to personal preference? |

on pre-WM5 main memory is faster , but only on startup. SD card is better because it frees up RAM which always is a good thing.
Note that there is a bug in the 5.21 installer that will ignore your indicated choice and will always install to main memory.
On WM5 this question became irrelevant. You no longer control RAM. _________________ Lutz

Thanks, I did have it on storage card but when I upgraded my maps to
Western Europe recently, I formatted my storage card and reinstalled TTN5 to the main memory. I have 5.1 so I think I'll remove it& reinstall it to my storage card. |

Put TT5 on your card, TT6 on the device. |

Thanks Mike. I found it appeared to have slowed down now that I have ttn5 in the device. I wondered if it was because the Western Europe map has so much to search through but, hopefully, if I reinstall it on the card, it might be back to normal. |
