|
|
Hi All,
I haven't used Tomtom for a while but have bought TT6 and Im having a prob with postcodes. Im sure TT5 would navigate just on a postcode, i.e I just tap in a full UK postcode and TT would navigate there. TT6 seems different, after entering the postcode it asks for street etc.
Am I missing something?
Thanks |

You have to use an extra tap on the screen now.
Navigate to ... | Address | Postcode will get you to the Full 7 Digit Postcode.;) _________________ Richard

Nope, thats what I mean. If i do that, I input the full post code then it shows a shortlist based on the first few characters. When I select the right region it asks for the street then the house number. |

In that case the Zip Folder is missing.
Have you got a Backup, with the Zip Folder?
If so, just Copy the Folder to the Root of the SD Card. _________________ Richard

Just an extra. Did you download TT6 or did you get a disc? On the disc there will be a Postcode Setup.
Using Search I found THIS and THIS. I don't know if it helps. _________________ Richard

Still no luck. I re-installed the postcodes via the CD but it hasnt changed even though it has put the zip folder in the root of the SD card.
I had a quick look at the other threads, unfortunately I dont have enough room in "\Program Files\Navigator" for the zip folder.
Im downloading some new maps now so will give them a go. |

Could see an 'about' option in the menus | Tap the screen bottom right, where the Sat Graphic is, and on the next Screen, Tap the small window that tells you the Software Version Number. _________________ Richard

Hi All,
I had this problem with downloaded maps on an Axim X5. Eventually solved by moving the ZIP folder to the root of the Built in Storage. Could not get it to work with the folder anywhere else.
Good Luck.

If your still having this problem then copy the postcode folder (Zip) to the pda directly, program files/navigator/ and not the SD Card, this works on some devices, same with the voices. |
