Does anyone live in gateshead and had their Satnav stolen?
what is the best way to make sure it isnt stolen.
I no the obvious one like taking the device itself out of the car when im not using it but what about the cradle, cables and other items?

Take everything and leave no sign.
If using a mount that sticks to the windscreen then wipe it off.
Apart from not actually leaving the things in the car not much else you can do... |

i recomend the 'wipe the windscreen' method too - as thieves, however thick they need to be to get into this profession, still have enough about them to realise that if there is a round circle imprinted on the windscreen then there MIGHT be satnav in the car.. keep some screen wipes and keep the whole window clean else a clean patch in the corner sends out the same message!

This seems to be a very good idea the same as taking all of the hardware out of the car.
This will be a great help as i live in the roughest part of gateshead, people break in to anyones car no matter what is in. My mothers car got pintched and it had a disabled badge in from one of my old friends who I used to go to school with. He did get caught from the police and he did get sentenced to 5 month in prison, so he got his just deserts EVENTUALLY.
Saying this I havent ever spoke to him since I left primary school in 1994 so I wouldnt class him as a friend now like.
Nevermind.
thanks for the adivice MaFt, PaulB2005. Much Appreciated. |
