But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

Possibly the best thing the SatNav programmers could develop is the ability to plan your journey on a PC and then download it to your SatNav device. No more squinting at a small screen, easier placing of waypoints etc. etc. If MS Autoroute can do it for the PC (but not download to a SatNav sadly) why not the others.....?
Garmin units have had these features for some time!
I use the iQue 3600 and the 60CSx.
The 60CSx is the best example as tracks and routes can be imported and exported to and from the PC.
I'm sitting in front of the PC planning my caravan journey to Rome and Sorrento for next summer. All my work will then be transferred to both units. I also take the routes on my cheap/old laptop for use in the caravan, where I can plan the next day's local visits or view that day's tracks. All weird routes that the software can throw up can be sorted on the PC screen.

Thanks BGF - what a star! :D
Glad to be of assistance!
If you want to follow a particular route, you need to put in waypoints that will "force" TT to go that way. For instance, if you are making a multi-drop delivery, use Autoroute to plan the route and use the "Optimise Stops" function, and then save and transfer to TT. When you load this into TT, using Itinerary Planning, TT will plan a route to the next waypoint, using whichever Route Type (Fastest, Shortest, ...) you choose, so it won't necessarily follow Autoroute on a street by street basis. _________________ Jock
