Help!
I have upgraded to TTN6 from TTN5.21 and moved the POI files as per the intstructions on the TT site.
I can enable/disable them and navigate to them but they don't display on the map or warn on approach. This means that my PGPS speed cam warnings no longer work.
How do I get them to work again?
I'm running it on an Orange SPV M600 |

Go to change preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI and configure each of your warnings then you will get the alerts as approaching cameras - Mike |

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply and for your email witht the OGG voices. That's really helpful but it's not my main problem.
My main problem is that POI information is not being displayed on the map in TT6 when it was displayed in TT5. The warings worked in TT5 as well. I can navigate to them and the enable/disable screen appears to work but nothing appears on the maps. |

That is strange, I can see the icons on my unit - not that that helps! - a couple of thoughts:
1/ how many custom POI have you got loaded? (limit of 100 in TTN6)
2/ when did you last download the icons for the Speed Cameras AND install them to your device, their is slight difference in colour depth, but I have not seen this do anything more than wash out the colour.
Can you try browse map and zoom in to a location where you know there is a POI - Mike |

Hi Mike
Tried the 24bit colour as suggested by you on XDA-Dev
It's a while since I replaced the icons but I do regularly replace the POI files. I changed one to 24bit and ran the demo past its location and nothing.
I've browsed the map also. Nothing.
Is there a registry setting I need to look at? |

For me this worked. Navigate and zoom in to a location on the map. Then search-poi-speedc and suddenly all speedcameras were back on the map. This worked well on the scandinavia map.
Hope this will solve your problem.

Some progress thanks to Jazza1.
There was a preference option for POI within browse map.
Now my POIs show up in the browsed map but still not when Navigating. |

Well, I submitted a question to the TomTom support nd they are washing thier hand of it. :x
Not compative with the Orange M600 they say. It is compatible with the iMate JAMin. THEY ARE THE SAME DEVICE but with a different badge.
I asked them what they would do if it was a JAMin and they still wont help me. :x |

Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
I have not seen POI's displayed in TT6 when navigating unless you have a 'warn when near' set.
I know TT5 did this OK.
Has it been removed for update speed reasons? |
