any one know what voltage actually gets fed to the tomtom.. i assume the car charger has some kind of step down device built in to it..

yes it does from memory 5v but check before adapting or building anything _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

yes its 5 volts centre positive.. i imagine there is single cell 3.7 volts lithium battery inside.. five volts is the standard voltage for charging such batteries..
unfortunately mine has just died on me.. even when fed with the car charger..
one dead little used go 300 complete with western euro map and external aerial.. hmmm..
it was bought over a year ago from curries.. which leaves me wondering how long does tomtom guarantee these things for and i am pretty certain i dont have the original receipt or exact purchase date.. hmmmm

TWO years, usually. Check the lic_eng.txt in the licences folder on the Go ...Ooops you can't! You're going to need that proof of purchase though....
Otherwise Eldar's SatNav Repair Shop should be able to help. |

unless i can find the original receipt it probably isnt worth the tomtom route i have emailed the repair shop thanks for the link..
