The siren sound was added to the ogg file by one of the site members, the original files from Rays site don't include the siren noise.
You are correct that certain camera warnings are missing to fully populate a speed zoned file set with Liz warnings, but I simply duplicate/ substitute the "Warning GATSO ahead" and use this for the the files that don't have specific sounds (copy the file then re-name it to match the ov2 file name) - Mike |

Dave, it sounds like you have the GATSO 30 working, do the other camera files give spoken alerts or not?
If not have you renamed the ogg files to the correct file name for each camera alert type (there are 24 in total for the full speed zoned set-up), once this is done the files need to be copied to the map folder on the memory card.
Then re-configure the warnings in Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI for EACH camera type (repeat this step for all 24 camera types).
For the Liz Nav voice you should have a download that is a zip file containing a single folder called "lizwhitaker" once unzipped in this folder will be four files:
data75.bmp
data75.chk
data75.vif
lincense.txt
copy the data75 files (three off) to your device, these files should be placed into the voices folder on your memory card. The lincense.txt is not required on the TomTom device (it is spelt this way incidentally)
Now simply start the device and go to change preferences/ Change Voice and scroll through the selections available until Liz is present - Mike |

Why not take the time to read what people have already written (several times over!)
If yopu ask like this don't be suprised if no one bothers to answer.
It is actually quicker to LEARN how to do some things than to post repeat messages and wait for other people to do the work for you.
Thank you.... Rant over. |

Again you can get the ogg files from Ray's Site just download the Andy Siddell files for your device, there will be a few specific speed cameras not included such as those with a 20MPH limit, simply duplicate the applicable gatso, specs or mobile warning and use that, if you want a matching navigation voice this to is available from the same site - Mike |

I have to confess to having some difficulty with the Liz Whittaker files as well. I presently have the spoken Gatso 30 Mobile 30 electronic voice that Lutz did and they have always worked fine. I have upgraded my TomTom to latest software and downloaded the .OGG files for Liz Whittaker plus the Zip file with the 75.dataChk file etc. I dropped the three files from the Zip file into voices but when I try to change voices only Jane and Co show up. I have tried renaming the .OGG file to match one of my Gatzo files and dropped them into my GB map, but when I pressed the test button on managing POI's the old voice is still the only voice I can access. Having said all that I'm not sure I can live with the Liz voice alerts - what I load of waffle compared to the simple but effective Gatzo 30 - typical woman using twenty words where one will do. |

Can you let us know which device and software you are using i.e. is it a TomTom Go or PDA installation you are using?
The camera warning files cannot be correctly named if you are being offered the test option when configuring the Warn When Near POI option, a common fault is the file name being pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ogg.ogg - note the doeble file name extension. In order to check this use Windows Explorer to view the files but in Windows Explorer go to Tools/ Folder Options select the view tab and make sure the following:
Show hidden files and folders IS CHECKED
Hide extensions for known file types IS NOT CHECKED

File extenstions just show .OGG. Unit is TomTom GO300 software version 6.520 and map is v562.0. I may give it another try and just rename one test file. I'm not sure if I even want the Whittaker voices as I think given the amount of speed cameras where I live I may well be driven to distraction. The original Gatzo30 voice is hard to beat for being short simple but informative. |

Update - I have just re-done the .ogg files again and this time they are working. Must have done something wrong last time, though it was midnight when I attempted this so perhaps that had something to do with it. I'm glad I've made a back up though as just running a demo I'm not at all sure I can put up with this women all the time - sounds a bit like an ex I used to know. |
