I've searched the forums for an answer to this and couldn't find one. I'm sure this can't be the first time someone has done this so apologies if its been posted/answered loads.
My father in law has totally wiped the contents of his SD card and didn't have a back up anywhere. In a father in law way he has passed this to me to sort out as 'I know about things like that'
Although I don't have a clue I told him I'd sort it.
Basically what if anything can I do? I've checked TomTom.com and see that the maps can be bought but as far as I'm aware he hasn't updated anything since he bought it and I wondered if this maps would work on his Go classic.
Thanks in advance
(on the plus side it made me back up my new One twice) |

Yes the new Maps will work on the Classic, as will the new Software.
It might be a good idea to get a bigger SD Card at this stage as the download is about 240MB, as the original Card was only 128MB! I would go for a 512MB, so that there is the ability to add more later. _________________ Richard

the Classic GO came with the software and maps on CD. it was the only model that had that.
you can restore it from that CD. |
