I'm sure this has been said before, but maybe if enough people say it?......
The price of map updates it outrageous! Bad enough if you are getting 100% new stuff, but this is an update and I already have 99% of what they are re-selling me. :x |

They can't even get there prices correct. If yo got the Tomtom email on the 30th November they are advertising the Navigator 6 for PDA and mobile for £79.99 (99 euro) and going to the link on the TomTom site from the email you get the same package but the price has now gone to £89.15 (129 euro) _________________ Graham.

Before anybody wastes their money
Today I managed to compare maps of Western Europe Ver 652 and Ver 660 and I can tell you that Ver 652 is more up to date than Ver 660. All the new roads around where I live are shown on 652 but are missing from ver 660. These roads have been open for over a year.

Is the Tomtom site down? I tried all last evening (Sunday) and have tried this morning to log on to their site with no success. Are they overwhelmed with complaints or have they got lost on their way to work. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

I just went straight in no bother. Didn't explore, simply checked for opening the Home page. _________________ Dennis

Most odd. I can open any site except Tomtom. I have tried the main site and all the other tomtom pages saved in favourites. I cant think of an explanation. When my son gets home from work I will try on his computer. Most puzzling. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Just went in again and this time shuffled around a bit - support, news etc. No problem. Maybe they've heard you complaining (not logical - they must have heard me complaining and I got onto the site!)
Which reminds me. How long ago did the new maps come out? A week ago and I downloaded my free update. But I'm still waiting to receive my Newsletter telling me there are new maps. Shambles! _________________ Dennis

According to the date when the first message was posted on this topic it was last Tuesday 28th Nov. In fact that was when I paid for my map which I still do not have. My downloads were interrupted twice and as I have already said I have been unable to make contact since. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

In response to DennisN's post, I have been signed up for newsletters ever since the facility was made available by Tom Tom and I NEVER receive newsletters so I rely on the PocketGPS website to keep me up to speed. Before anybody tells me it is my anti-virus software/Firewall to blame, the Tom Tom site has been added to the list of safe senders! _________________ Mike -

I've been signed up since May 2005. I have a newsletter a couple of months ago telling me how wonderful Tom Tom were for something and had won awards from their tame website. Nothing else before or since. Where else but here would I learn about the new maps? - not from the company in whom I've invested much cash! _________________ Dennis

Assuming that you currently have TT Mobile 5 working on the 9300, then you should be able to. I just updated to the European map v660 released last week running TT Mobile 5 on a Nokia N70. _________________ Kam |

As I said earlier, still on TT Mobile 5. TT6 is not supported on the N70. _________________ Kam |
