I've tried to register my 510 on the Tom Tom site, but it says the serial number is an invalid format. Any idea why? Mine starts with a letter and is 12 characters long. |

On the back, on the white sticker with what looks like a bar code underneath it. (On the TT website it has the diagram with it circled). |

When I registered my Go I was asked for the Device Code not the serial number. Has it changed?
Device code is in two blocks of 5 alpha numerics e.g. AK6DE 8RG5T _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Device code is found by going to ChangePrefs/Show Version. Or tap screen bottom right and then bottom right again. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

On trhe TomTom Web site you asked for Product Name, the name you give it to be able to Identify it, and the Product Code which is on the 'Credit Card' that comes with the Product.
The actual Device you don't have to Register. TT are only interested in the Software Products.
The Device Number is added to the My Products Info because the SD Card came pre-Activated for the Device. _________________ Richard

OK, I go to this link for the new mount:
https://www.tomtom.com/newdock/
It asks for a serial number with a diagram of where to find it. I've tried that:
xxxxxxxxxxxx - invalid format
Device xxxxx xxxxx - invalid format
App. 6.510 (xxxx/xxxxxx) - invalid format (just the x's entered)
credit card xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx - invalid format
Anything else I can try? Help! |

Maybe your specific serial number was shipped with a newer version of the mount anyway in which case you would not be eligible for a freebie? |
