Tom Tom GO510 questions

Arrived today and having a play...

- can you make the unit automatically switch off when you switch the car off (with it being connected to the lighter)?

- if you start a journey but decide, how can you stop it? i.e. scrap that journey?

The first question not 100% sure but i think the 510 doesn't do that mine doesn't however their was a TT that did switch of by the ignition however I’m not sure which I’m sure someone can answer that for you.

Second, simple click menu three taps leads you to the thing your looking for “clear route” (it’s in the menu).

The Go-x10 range used to turn on and off via the ignition switch but due to problems that caused the units to inadvertently switch off TomTom disabled this - the only option is to manually turn the unit off.
The "Clear Route" menu item is only available if you have the full menu list selected, if you can't find the icon go to change preferences/ Show ALL menu options followed by the Continue button - the Clear route icon should now be available for use - Mike
