this is going to sound really stupid, but i notice on this and other forums people saying "pm me and i'll send it to you" or similar. what is a pm in this context?
put me out of my misery.

Hi Tonygold,

The PM is a private message i.e one way people can contact you through the forum.
Have a look at the bottom of this post and you will see a button that says PM, press this button to send me a message (or not)
