|
|
I was just reading a thread in this forum and found myself, after a minute or so, redirected through the main active window to:
http://www.cooltopia.com/section.php?xSec=558/0/
I was redirected to a page that contained context specific information (relevant to this group).
Has anyone else experienced advertising based main window redirections whilst reading posts in this forum?
I understand that wesbites like this one need money revenue to function but it seems inappropriately intrusive to use redirection code that aims to bypass pop up filters and alter main window content - if this is what happened. |

I can't replicate it. As far as I'm aware it's nothing on my machine - aside from the fact that the PC seems to be free of adware the page was very specific to the content of this forum and seemed to load like a redirection. |

Well neither of those threads have any hidden code and none of our adverts use any strange code hidden within, they'll only activate if you click them. Cooltopis isn't one of our advertisers past or present _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's driving me crazy! I'll try to replicate it and, if I can, I'll post the details. Very odd. |
