There are number of Variable Cameras in the database between the M4 and M3 on the M25. I travel this route most days and can see no cameras in the gantries, there are big camera signs and road markings but no cameras. Am I missing something? |

I thought to see the cameras, you should do ten miles over the speed limit, then turn around in the seat [not while driving] to view the flash of the camera as it photographs your backend [car rear]!!!!!
My 'Snooper' always informed me of the active and non active cameras, but I never saw them. |

They are hidden behind the gantries. Look at the opposite carrigeway and you will see them. They're smaller than normal gatsos, and not every gantry has them, although rumour says they are sometimes moved from ganrtry to gantry. _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155

No, I know what cameras look like and there are none on the gantries from the M4 to the M3. There is one on the north bound M4 - M40 and a lot from the M3 to the A3. Its the 4/5 between the M4 and the M3 I querying. |

The section between the M3 & M4 was recently widened and all of the gantries were replaced. They used to have variable speed cameras on every other gantry. It is still legally part of the variable speed zone originally set up between A3 and M4.
Maybe 2 explanations
Cameras may have been replaced with much smaller, more modern ones in the gantries or
Cameras not replaced
Have they put the markings on the new road surface? Iignore ones away from gantries as they were there for the temporary road works cameras they has while the works were being constructed. _________________ Peter
