which driver can i use in tomtom navigator ?
a generic bluetooth driver ? ( holux gr-230 isn't in tomtom list )
nmea or sirf ?
com 5 or com 8 ? |

COM port depends on your Pocket PC. If it's a 2210, then COM8, if it's a 3800, 5400 then COM5. It may be different on other manufacturer Pocket PC's.
Select the Emtac Wireless Driver and you'll be good to go.
Word of warning, if you purchased the receiver direct from Holux before 20th December, or you've purchased it elsewhere, changing baud rates from the regular 9600 will mean that you will no longer be able to communicate with the receiver. Just something to beware of.
Keep the receiver in NMEA mode, TomTom Navigator 2 still isn't written properly for SiRF mode, and it won't like it if you travel West of Meridian (Greenwich). |

i buy yesterday the receiver on e bay ( the seller told me that it's fixed - received from holux on 04 jan 2004 ).
in tomtom 2 the driver "ematac wireless" are NMEA 9600 on defaut ? |

It depends on your Pocket PC, I don't know what the 1940 uses. I would guess either COM8 or COM5.

I would be very wary of purchasing anything from people selling on ebay, you don't know for sure that the problem is fixed, purchasing from Holux direct you can be guaranteed that the receiver is fixed. |
