No, a CF card won't stop GPS information appearing. Some Pocket PC's use COM8 as the Bluetooth port (e.g.. iPAQ 2210), others use COM 5 (e.g. iPAQ 3800).
If you have properly followed every suggestion in this thread, and tried to fault diagnose the problem by reading and following this article and it's still not working then your GPS is faulty. Talk to the retailer you purchased it from and they should swap it out. |

thanks dave i have tryed winfast navigator but nothings happens what ever baud rate i try it on.
i am sending my ipaq/reciever/power lead of to a friend who has the same set up as me,he will test his reciever on my ipaq/my ipaq on his reciever etc to try a pinpoint the problem. |

I have found that with my Ipaq I have to do a soft reset after using activesync before I can use ttn2, and thaen after using ttn2 I need to do soft reset to use activesync . this stopped me getting gps working to start with cause it was always locking up com1 now it works wonderfully and I do soft reset without thinking hope this helps |

thanks for the tip.
did you get any movement on the status screen at all if you didn"t soft reset?
i will give it a go if my friend cant sort it.
if not i will get a 2210. |

Before I learnt to soft reset my gps wouldnt register a thing, but as soon as I did a soft reset and then waited patiently for the first fix(fingers drumming) in the car wow ,there were all the satelites and bingo everything works hope this helps |
