I've managed to find a little picture of the Maccy D golden arches and have saved it as Custom Waypoint No 000 and i've succesfully created a Custom Waypoint with it in mapsource. However, when I transfer the waypoint to my Quest it just shows up asd a blue dot.
Any ideas? |

As far as I know with the Quest1 you're stuck with the set of pre installed waypoint icons, with more recent models, even the lowly i3, you can import a graphic. Goes hand in hand with the more advanced waypoint/POI handling. The Quest2 might have this capability, not sure
I'm not going to ask why you want McD waypoints as you're obviously a lost cause to healthy eating... _________________ Chas

I was using McD's as an example. I was also hopeing to add Burger King and Pizza Hut .
I've added all the Championship Football grounds to my favourites but the icon is a baseball!! I'd rather have a football instead but don't know how to change it. |

As I believe that you're now back to a Q1 having ditched the disappointing Q2 you might need reminding that the former has a maximum of 500 user defined waypoints. By the time you get to KFC you're gonna run out of room unless your arteries clog up first
There are probably less than 500 sushi bars in the UK and eating there should be far better for you but I can't find a POI file anywhere :P _________________ Chas

See the HowTo on my site how to get things working. I have over 40 custom waypoint icons on my Quest and in Mapsource. Just needs some tinkering. ;) _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )

Cheers Elsinga, i'll take a look.
I've managed to create them in Mapsource but can't get them onto the Q1.
Bumkin. Thanks for being concerned for my health. I'll take your advice and see if I can find some of them sushi bars. Does Harry Ramsdens count?
And you're right, i've ditched the 2 for the 1. Now I have one and so does my son. |
