I searched and searched the forums, but cannot find any comprehensive collection regarding the the new menu items and such for customizing the menus on a G0 700 that I've updated to v6. I miss my custom menus from v5, but there are a lot more options/icons available now. I can guess at some of the names, but isn't there a comprehensive list of the menu items anywhere? I take it that it would be the same (or extremely similar) as customizing the one of the X10 menu systems, right?
Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere, but I tried a wide variety of searches with no luck. I did find some mention of the menu system in the POI capture thread, but nothing that lists all the menu item options like what is available in numerous places on the net for v5.
Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide. _________________ Chris

Perhaps this POST might be of help, it covers the menu items for the vs6, what are you looking for thats not covered here? - Mike
I get "The topic or post you requested does not exist" with that link.
Other resource sites I've found have a list of all the menu options available for adding to the TomTom.mnu file for v5 of the application. I haven't found such a resource/list for v6 yet. Are most people just not customizing their menus on the X10 series? _________________ Chris

Ah, sorry about that, the reason you cannot get to the post is you are not a subscribed member of the site, the post is in an area only accesable to subscribed members.
I can assure you some of us have messed around with the x10 menu structure, post the specific functions you want and I will see what I can come up with - Mike

Please try this LINK which is in the public area, there are a number of menus posted by people including myself, the text listings should give you a few ideas - Mike
Thanks for the link(s). I did find the POICapture thread, but I was looking more for a complete list of the available menu items for v6 like what is available for v5. I need a comprehensive list because I don't want to remove anything -- I just want to rearrange the menus. Since quite a few of the v6 menu items are new, I have no idea what their official name is.
I guess something like just doesn't exist yet. I'm surprised the OpenTom site hasn't been updated yet, but...oh, well. I'll just have to be patient until such a list is published.
Thanks again! _________________ Chris

OR
You could go here http://www.gregoryduncan.com/ttmd/index.php and download the small menu builder 571K (free)- note - if you are not sure if you have microsoft's NET installed - this programme will tell you - 23mb version is then up to you whether you want it or not. Also not all the icons are available - but it is good and fast
I did notice so far in my custom menus that TASK_TUTORIAL does not display on the menu, even if it's in your TomTom.mnu file. Not a biggie though, since at this stage I don't really need the tutorial. Everything else seems to work fine though, and I haven't personally found anything that's missing from the list for my updated GO 700 (maybe there are some missing entries for the X10 series?).
Thanks for posting this. Wish I'd seen it before I launched my 2-day digging campaign! ;) _________________ Chris

You are right the Tutorial does not display and that is what started my 'digging' - in fact I contacted TT support about it and they have acknowledged that it does not display for some reason but plan to investigate and release it in their next SDK update - hopefully resolved
