Aside from the new icons, the layout looks exactly the same to me as TT5.

Interesting that the Palm Tungsten T3 has been dropped from the compatibility list (TT6 runs just fine on a T3 by the way ).
From what I have seen, the T3 is pretty well the only Palm device genuinely able to run Tomtom without any dynamic heap memory issues... |

From the PWGPS.com website :
Quote: | TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 with navigation software and the maps of a country/region plus major roads of Western Europe on memory card, will cost € 99 | .
From mobilefun.co.uk :
Quote: |
Pricing
Only £149.95
£127.62 ex. VAT |
€99 is approximately £66. Can't help thinking that either we're about to get stung for the v6 purchase, or mobilefun are trying it on a little in the hope that people don't know the real SRP. _________________ --

The mobilefun website includes a TomTom GPS receiver (MK2 I belive), the PWGPS price is just for the software. hence the price difference.

looking at the mobie fun one it looks likes there pricing a bluetooth pack as we were only pricing a appliction and map package this would explain the difference in price _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. There's a clear message to vendors emerging here --
I know that when I was sourcing Nav 5 from a retailer, even when I had a pretty clear idea what I wanted to buy, it was a minefield looking at web pages alone. Most sites appeared to have identical items at differing price points - at least 3 companies failed to get my £££ before I settled on my place of purchase.
Now with V6 emerging, it's time all vendors stopped understanding what they mean to say, and checked whether good ol' general public can make head or tail of what is going on - people are losing business because of this! _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek! |
