Hi, Before i join up for the Speed Camera Database, can someone help me out.
I have a Tom Tom Go 700 with the maps of Western Europe installed,i have bought this second hand and have no product code. My question is, will there be any problems installing the PocketGPSWorld.com Speed Cameras without having a product code.
Also i travel through France quite often, does the database have the french cameras installed. Lastly will i have enough memory in my Tom TOm 700 to install the full Speed Zoned Set of Cameras.

First thing. You need to get back to whoever sold you the 700, and demand the Product Code. It's part of the Maps. It is needed, especially when you want to upgrade the Maps. Without it you will have to buy Maps at Full Price instead of at a discount.
In the meantime, make sure you do a Full Backup of the 700, before you think of adding, or changing, anything.
The Safety Cameras can be used on the 700 with no problem.
In the TomTom Camera Download List is Continental Cameras. I don't know how big it is as I've never used it. You can also get cameras from Websites in Europe.
Lastly, you will have enough room for the Speed Zoned. It's a question of how many POI Categories you add. If you are running V5.xxx there is a limit of 39. V6.xxx upped this to 100. _________________ Richard

Thankyou Oldboy, Yes i did ask for the Product Code, but the lady i bought it from didn't know what i was on about and has searched for it to no avail.
I did ring Tom Tom with regards to this, but they could not help me.
It is V5.410 so it looks like it's a limit of 39 POI Categories.
It's a pity i didn,t know about the Product Code before i bought it,we live and learn.
By the way it as Map of Western Europe V606, do you know if that is a up to date version.
Thanks Oldboy, Yes your correct i have been in touch with her and she says she didn't register it. I have installed TomTOm Home on my computer and made a back up as you suggested. How do i install V6.150 and where do i find it, sorry being such a nuisance.
As a follow up to previous post, i forgot to mention when i connect to TomTom Home i get the following message.
important updates
Phone database
Content updates
Program; TomTom Application for GO 300/500/700,GO,ONE and RIDER (7.5mb)
Voice; Barbara (860 kb)
Voice; Kamran (671 kb)
Voice; Marika (912 kb)
Is it the ( Program; TomTom Application for GO 300/500/700,GO,ONE and RIDER (7.5mb) i need to download, there is no version number on display for it, so any help on this would be much appreciated.
Richard, Sorry to bother you again. Is it ok to upgrade straight to 6.15 from 5.410. i thought i read somewhere on the site that it was not possible.
Also i have read of instances where people have had problems when upgrading to 6.15, ie; lockup, freezing, etc.
Bearing this in mind, whould the Speed Camera downloads work just as well with v5.410, or would i be better upgrading.
I have put the information from my TTGO 700 below and regarding the (61mb RAM (Free 8.5mb) is this correct, as i thought the TTGO 700 had a 2.5GB hard drive. Would this mean i would not be able to load the speed Cameras, or am i reading this wrong.
Also should i delete the foreign voices to gain more space.

As far as I know it should be OK. I went up with each Upgrade so have no personal experience of this. If you feel happier you can download the latest V5.xxx from my Webspace.

Never having had a freeze/lockup, I think you just have to follow the normal install and not disconnect the Device prematurely.

The PGPSW Cameras work with every Version of TT.

The 8.5MB is reasonable, but is the Internal Memory. You will need to use the PC to check the Properties of the Device to see how much Memory you have available.
You can always Delete any 'Foriegn Voice' Files that you don't require. _________________ Richard

Well i updated to V6.15 and everything went ok. Have been out to try it and i am sure it is giving better instructions then before. I went on a route that you could easily have trouble navigating before and now it seems to have made the route much easier to navigate. I am pretty sure it's not wishful thinking.
Oh dear I think I may have I been stupid in buying a Geosat 4ALL for my trips to both the UK & Europe.
First task after getting my brain to understand all the different functions of this satnav was to get the speed camera database. The user guide says to download .ov2 format files but I cannot find them here and I wondered if they are lurking under another name. Does anyone know where please nd how to download please?
The Tomtom files are in .ov2 format _________________ -------------------------------------------------------
