I have just upgraded my TTONE to 6.15 and through HOME (just installed), when I click on My ONE it says that I have to download an additional component. The download always fails.
Is anyone else having this problem?
TIA

The additional component allows you to run the Device on the PC Screen as a Virtual PND.
I didn't have any problems downloading or installing, so can't help further on that.
What error message do you get, and is from HOME or the PC? _________________ Richard

The error message is from HOME, it seems that it cannot download a zip file. My wife has it in the car today so I can't try again.
The only thing I can think of is that I am going through a company firewall and there may be some restirction that is stopping it.
If I could find out the full address then I could try downloading it outside of home, but the URL in the error dialog is truncated. |

I had the same problem using TT Home 1.03 to upgrade my ONE from work, it cannot cope with a proxy server, which most companys will use.
I emailed Tom Tom for help, and they were useless, and suggested I use TomTom HOME to upgrade :-)
TomTom HOME 1.03 only seems to work from a direct broadband connection.
I did download this update and can't see why anyone would bother, as you can only use My TomTom when you have your real ONE connected by USB cable (as soon as you disconnect usb cable, the HOME icon greys out), so its completely pointless as far as I can see ??
UPDATE: It seems TomTom have fixed this in newer versions of Home, a friend tipped me off about this, as they updated through a proxy server, so tried this again today with TomTom Home 1.5 and it works fine, so wanted to update this ! _________________ --

It worked eventually for me using dialup - the download took about 20 minutes, but I had to do it three times. The download failed half way through the first two times.
Even then I had to reboot the computer before Home would work properly. |

exiting HOME from system tray and then restarting HOME would have done the same trick as restarting the computer _________________ GO1005
