Hi all,
I have recieved my nuvi 360 but it has software 2.40 installed on it, anyone know how I can get the 2.70 to manually upgrade. Not sure whether to put the latest one on it just yet. Have tried to upgrade via webupdater by the way but it says it is uptodate? when I click on further updates it just hangs on the connecting to server bit .
Thanks......Dil
By the way ........I have a Nuvi 310 for sale as new condition, anybody interested please send me a pm.. _________________ ***************************************

Go to Here and manually download the file. Run the executable, and manually install the firmware update. Although the latest version of WebUpdater is said to fix some problems, a lot of people have broken their units by using the WebUpdater to upgrade the main firmware (due to the whole file not downloading).
Once you have down this, then use the WebUpdater to find further updates. |

Thanks swing, I saw that update last night which I have now installed anyway. I was actually looking for the 2.7 firmware but it doesnt matter now. I had to try about three times though to find any additional updates, of which there was only the vehicle icons available. On starting the nuvi after upgrading to 2.8 it did upgrade the gps and the bluetooth.
Thanks for your help again....Dil _________________ ***************************************

Glad you fixed it - why were you looking for v2.7 (and not 2.8), or was it you simply didn't know v2.8 was out? |

Hi swing, I think one or two peeps on here had commented that ver 2.8 had caused them a few probs, but in saying that mine seems to be ok.
Tried it out yesterday on a short run, picked up some speedcams in an area that previously wasnt covered....have we got someone else from Anglesey on here I wonder?
Also found that the volume wasnt very loud allthough it was on its highest setting, hoping it will sort itself out as I start using it more.
Another thing which I have mentioned before was the TTS and how it could cope with welsh place names and surprisingly it copes very well, I think Emily has had some welsh lessons.
Thanks again....Dil _________________ ***************************************

I've not seen any negative comments towards v2.8 for the Nuvi (as opposed to v2.8 for other units).
The main problems some people suffer with nearly every firmware release is that they apply the firmware and it breaks their unit - up until recently WebUpdater could cause this problem, although I believe it's now been fixed. However, to be sure, I always apply the firmware updates manually, and only use WebUpdater to update additional files. |

Hi swing, I probably read the threads on the other nuvis then and assumed it would be the same with the 360.
Tried it out today just in navigate mode and everything was fine.
Will probably install future upgrades manually though as you suggest.
Cheers...Dil _________________ ***************************************
