I have a Navman PIN 570. I'm happy with it, with one slight exception.
The retailer I bought it from packaged an external antenna with it, but the mini-mcx connector is very tight and difficult to remove. I'm worried about damaging the device.
I wondered whether there might be such a thing as a lead with a quick release type connector available.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? |

Hi WeeGraeme
Just noticed your post and thought that I would let you know that you can bu a quick release antenna for your 570. If you go onto the Navman web site here in Australia and look unfer shop you will find Mini MCX External Antenna to fit your device.
I am sure that it is the same 1 that I use for my 720 and I sometimes have to remove it from the car. Have had no probels with it.
Here is the link.

Thanks for that.
That looks like what I need. They're out of stock at the moment, but I'll keep an eye out. |

I've got a PiN570 and I use an external antenna, works so much better at picking up the GPS.
I would suspect that the mini.MCX will be the same as on the one you already have. It is a standard type of connector from what I understand, so it may not help you.
The connector is a bit tight on mine, but I connect it/remove it a fair bot and it seems OK so far.
