AFAIK it is only available with the device. You would have to contact Mitac (but if you can get an answer from them, you're doing better than anyone here - their support is lousy).

So it doesn't look like there will be any official way of updating the Mios then? I got the following response
"Hello,
Unfortunaltely there is yet no suitable version for a MioMap CE 3 system. Please contact the vendor of your navigation system if there are plans to include POI-Warner support.
Also ask if MioMap 3 supports synchronization services that can use overlays provided by www.poihandler.com , a reliable source for Overlay data."
cheers

Hi to all.
I had the same response that Palexr got a week ago.
When I replied to them saying I wasn't going to waste my time with Mio tech support because it was so poor, this was their reply I received today (Monday)
Hello Mr. Chris,
Please excuse us we hope that we can publish the POI-Warner for Mio in the near future,
But we are wating for the MIO support they must build in the POI-Warner interface in their Software
And we hope that this happens fast.
Sincerly yours

So there you have it.
If they're waiting for Mio we've got no hope.
I've now had 4 replies from these guys in the last two weeks and it's not even their product.
That's 4 more than I ever got from Mio.
Shame on Mio.

Hi CeeJay
Maybe you can help me. I'm a beginner in this GPS world, so I'm sorry for the bandwith.
I have my MIO C710 since last Tuesday and until now I'm very happy with him. But today I have a deep displeasure ! I have deleted some contacts inside the device and it froze. After many soft and hard reset the Contacts app anymore work (with the following errors : "An attempt was mae to access an unnamed file past its end" and a "Fatal Application Error") and Mio Map anymore can surpass the STARTING screen !!!
All these thinks in a week !!!
Some of you had the same experience ? Any clue ? How can I reinstall the software, if posible ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Viriato.
First of all to the forums.
Before we start, a word of advice.
Don't double post as the moderators will not be pleased with you and this question is slightly
Now onto your question.
Connect your device to your PC using the USB lead.
Try to reinstall Miomap from the Miomap v3 disc.
After you select your language it gives you the option to 'Restore Miomap v3.1'
After this all should be OK.

Hi CeeJay,
you are completly right
I saw my mistake about the the theme of the this topic and the theme of my message, so I decided to create a specific topic for him. I would say that the solution was worst that the problem. I'm sorry for that but I'm a rookie.
Well, I already trie your clue but this is not solve my problem. As I already said in to Sallyann in "my" specific topic, I would like to know how to install the Contacts app ? I have the feeling that if I could re-install this app and after re-install the MioMap app, this could solve my problem. Until that the Contacts app doesn't work (I get the same error messages) and the the MioMap app doesn't surpass the Starting screen/state. Any clue ?
Thanks a lot and my apologies.
