I have sent an e-mail to Mitac pointing out the weakness of their Safety Camera database and the lack of sales that are likely to result after the twelve month free upload period. I have also asked if they will not allow their software to permit general POI database downloads. I'll advise here of any response.

Hello Sir,
Actually the MIO 510 and 710 with MIO Map CE 3 are
Not supported , we hope that we can support this
New navigation system in the near future but we are cooperating
With MIO and it can take an little time till we can release the nwew POI-warner.
Please visit www.navigating.de from time to time for new information.
Sincerly yours

Good to have this confirmation.
I hear that version 3.2 of MioMap will be able to import XML files directly, so that will be an alternative.
One way or another we will be able to import the camera file, just have to wait...

I have installed igo europe + crack on a medion PDA (Windows Mobile 2003) and the gps quality indicator is red which means "the gps is connected but no gps position available".
I here this problem appears mostly on medion PDAs. Can you help me fix this ? |

I'll let this one pass but any further posts asking help with pirated software will result in the post being deleted and your membership cancelled. _________________ Darren Griffin |

from Mio? No-one hears anything from Mio!
I received a PM from someone who is very well informed about iGO developments. I'd rather not say anything more as I'm not sure if the information is meant to be public yet.

Thanks for that Sal. As to whether or not these updates will find their way onto Miomap is another question (as is whether or not existing customers will be allowed to update the software - I'm on the phone to Mio support at the moment, and they are denying existence of the 3.11 version of Miomap - even though this is what the C710 runs and someone on here was sent a DVD with the new version of the software on it!) |

Excellent - this works on my C710 with the database from this site.
Good find jilldris!
Think this deserves a post of its own in the Mio section... |
